The Avani Victoria Falls Resort boasts an unbeatable location just steps from the iconic Victoria Falls, with wildlife like zebras and giraffes often wandering the grounds. While the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, the rooms and facilities could use some updates. Dining options were varied and generally satisfying; however, the overall experience was marred by some maintenance issues and a lack of sound insulation in the rooms.

Rooms
7.0
The rooms were generally clean and comfortable, but they felt a bit dated. There were some issues such as TV reception and minor maintenance that detracted from the experience.
Service
8.0
The service was friendly and accommodating, although check-in was a bit slow. Nonetheless, the staff went out of their way to help, which I really appreciated.
Location

The location next to Victoria Falls is fantastic, allowing for easy access and offering beautiful natural surroundings, including wildlife wandering around the resort.
Dining
8.0
Dining options were plentiful, and the quality was good. Breakfast was especially nice, though I would have liked a bit more clarity on dinner options during my stay.
Facilities
7.0
The facilities were acceptable but in need of some modernization. The pool area was enjoyable, but there were minor maintenance issues that detracted from the overall luxury feel.

The hotel offers a lovely atmosphere with a warm welcome upon arrival and even buggies to take you to your rooms. It’s in an excellent spot for visiting Victoria Falls, with friendly animals roaming the grounds. However, the rooms are a bit dated and I encountered some noise issues during the night. Additionally, the staff seemed to struggle with drink availability at the bar and restaurant.

The rooms were clean but somewhat dated, and there was a problem with noise that was quite bothersome at night.

The staff were friendly and accommodating but appeared overwhelmed by certain situations, such as running out of popular drink options.
Location

The location is perfect for accessing Victoria Falls; I loved that we could walk to the Zambia side for free with our room key.
Dining
7.0
The food was good, especially breakfast with an omelette station. However, it wasn't particularly remarkable overall.
Facilities

The resort has some nice features like animals on the property, but there were noticeable lacks in upkeep, particularly in decor.

I had a wonderful time at the hotel, which offers stunning views and a unique experience with animals roaming the property. The rooms were clean, and the sunsets over the Zambezi were breathtaking. However, be cautious with dining costs, as they can add up quickly. The hotel's proximity to Victoria Falls is fantastic, but the poolside service was a bit slow at times.

The staff was exceptionally helpful and created a welcoming atmosphere, although the poolside restaurant service was a bit slow.

I had an amazing stay at this resort—the location is perfect, nestled among beautiful wildlife with astonishing views. The rooms were nice and well-kept, but I felt they could use some modernization. The service was exceptional, and the dining options were fantastic, although prices can add up quickly. Overall, it’s a great experience, especially for nature lovers visiting Victoria Falls.

Rooms
7.0
The rooms were well-kept and clean, featuring two double beds and comfortable fluffy towels, though they felt a bit cramped and are in need of a major refurb.
Service

The service was truly fantastic; the staff was friendly, always willing to help, even assisting my husband in finding his misplaced iPad around the property.
Location
10.0
The resort's location is unbeatable, with wildlife like zebras and giraffes roaming the grounds, and it’s just a short walk to the stunning Victoria Falls.
Dining

Dining options were really good, with a wide variety of choices, though some days the menu felt a bit repetitive.
Facilities
9.0
The facilities were nice, with a lovely pool area—definitely a plus after a day of exploring the falls.

6.0/10

The hotel has a prime location right next to Victoria Falls, with unique wildlife experiences and charming staff that enhance your stay. However, the dining options unfortunately fell short, especially during lunch and dinner, and the pool area needs serious cleaning and maintenance. Overall, it's a mixed bag, as the breathtaking surroundings and friendly atmosphere can’t quite make up for the less-than-ideal facilities and food quality.

Rooms
7.0
The rooms are spacious and clean, featuring nice bed linen and a great shower, although they feel somewhat average overall.
Service
6.0
While the reception staff were mostly efficient and attentive, I found the pool bar service lacking, with too many staff members focused on chatting among themselves rather than assisting guests.
Location
10.0
The hotel is set within a captivating national park where you can see various wildlife, and it's an easy walk to Victoria Falls, making it truly special.
Dining
5.0
The breakfast was good, but the lunch and dinner options around the pool were quite poor, lacking quality which was disappointing.
Facilities
5.0
The pool area desperately needs cleaning; it was full of debris and had safety hazards with loose electric lighting, which was alarming.
